All Duties of Officers are as follows:
|
President |
The President’s responsibility is to coordinate with the other officers and the Director of Bands to make decisions concerning both organizations he/she represents. Any issues the organizations want to bring up with the Music Department or High School Administration must be presented by its President to the Director of Bands for consideration. The President must also make all attempts to boost his/her organization’s morale and help get the organization more involved in fundraisers for preparation for trips, festivals, instrument and equipment purchases as well as attend Friends of Music general meetings. The President will also be a co-narrator for the ensembles at all performances and should be an experienced public speaker! |

Vice-President |
The Vice-President’s responsibility is to assist the President with all of his/her responsibilities. As well as assisting the President, it is the Vice-President’s responsibility to take attendance of the ensembles at all rehearsals and performances. The Vice-President will also be a co-narrator for the ensembles at all performances and should be an experienced public speaker! |

Secretary |
The Secretary’s responsibility is to assist the President and Vice-President as well as to record all ideas suggested by the organization and other officers to present at meetings. The Secretary must have a dedicated notebook for meetings. The Secretary must provide an itinerary of matters to discuss at all meetings. He/she must also record all suggestions and decisions made during officer meetings. The Secretary will be required to issue minutes form the last meeting at each meeting for review. |

Librarians |
The Librarians’ responsibility is to assist the other officers as well as collecting, distributing and organizing all sheet music. Librarians are responsible for making sure all members of the ensembles have the proper parts of music and to make copies of music when necessary. The Librarian is the only person allowed to utilize the organizations’ library and is therefore responsible for its tidiness. |
